Everything You Need To Know About Bespoke Suit
Being in a relationship is not as easy as everyone thinks, especially those who are in a long distance relationship status. Who knew such a thing existed, right? It really exists and being in a long distance relationship can be tricky and is not easy at all, it comes with unique challenges – good and bad, and if were given a chance, I’m sure no one would pick to be in a long distance relationship.
Before we proceed with some tips on how to make your long distance relationship work, let us define first what it means. A long distance relationship or most commonly known as LDR is an intimate relationship between two people, couple, or partners who are geographically isolated from one another. This kind of relationship can work or won’t work. Sometimes, your choices could be the deciding factor in your LDR. It could either make it or break it.
When it comes to surviving the distance, here’s what you can do:
Set up a Healthy Communication Pattern and Prioritize Talking to Each Other – This is the most important thing to do when you are in an LDR status. Figure out and discuss your communication basics as a couple – how you want to connect, what time, and for how long. This is mainly important because you don’t want to keep your partner on the phone or on video call all day long. As much as possible, avoid excessive communication. You both have some things to do and tasks that need to accomplish each day. It can really hard to arrange and rearrange your schedules especially when you are both busy or you have time difference, but whenever you get the chance, prioritize talking to each other.
Be Honest in your Communication and Be Open About your Emotions – Stay honest with each other even if your miles apart. Truthful communication, especially when in a long distance relationship is very important and as a couple, talk about how you handle the separation. Talk about how each other’s day went and your plans too. Be open about your feelings of fear and even jealousy.
Make Sure the Distance is Only Temporary – Both of you, as a couple should have a shared vision of “one day, we will live happily ever after”. Why do you need this? Simply because a long distance relationship needs “HOPE” – hope that there is a possibility that one day, the two of you will be together to fulfill your dreams and create wonderful memories together. Without hope, shared values, and shared visions together, your LDR won’t work. Work towards your visions together, and your relationship will succeed.
Control your Jealousy – For your emotional well-being and for the sake of your relationship, you have to master to control your jealousy. Don’t be like a war-freak person who gets jealous over unreasonable things and close friends of your partner. One of the best things to do to control this is to analyze the situations and your feelings. Let your partner know about how you feel and talk about the thing or the person that made you jealous so he/she can explain and make some adjustments if necessary. Admitting your being jealous is hard but it can help you find peace of mind.
Give Each Other Some Virtual Space – Even if you’re miles apart from each other, consider giving your partner some space. Talking to your partner is a priority but NOT your only priority. Your partner also needs some “Me Time” to relax and to unwind. Don’t expect your partner to always respond immediately whenever you call. Keep in mind that he/she also needs to socialize every once in a while.
Any relationship can be difficult to cope with especially long distance relationships. Sometimes you just can’t control your emotions, this is okay as long as any conflict will be settled as soon as possible. To be successful in a long distance relationship, both of you must be dedicated. Keep a constant communication and be truthful with each other and let God be the center of your relationship.
